The libmutt there sounds interesting.  It's based on an ancient version of
Mutt, though.  Maybe the best thing to do is to turn Mutt into a library,
and let people write their own MUAs?

I'm betting that with proper command-line tools and some support from
the shell, mail would be _much_ easier from the command-line.

Maybe I'll just set up a Hurd box and use it as my mail server ... I dunno. . .
