<shrug> That's why I typically try to avoid using full paths to
programs, and instead use my ~/.bashrc to carefully craft my $PATH
variable.

Yeah... again, I handle most of that kind of thing in my ~/.bashrc,
rather than in my muttrc or vimrc. If it helps:
