No.  Contributing to a project usually opens you to more than just 
submitting a patch.  I'm willing to do that for some projects, but I 
haven't been willing to in this case.

Understood.  I tried using less as a replacement for mutt's internal 
pager for a while and didn't like it for the reasons you mention.
