That's a software problem I think when non-multibyte-enabled readline routines are used. For example: (gdb) a Undefined command: "ab". Try "help". (gdb) (I enter abé, hit bs 2 times and hit enter) Does it work for in mutt, i.e. 'a: unknown command'? Rocco
