Thanks to the fantastic unix inventions called "pipes" and "shell 
scripts", now you can have it all!

    #!/bin/sh
    t-prot -cemtwk -M=mutt | fmt -w 80

Put that into a text file, chmod +x it, and set that as your 
display-filter.
