I've written another suite of scripts, which I`ve been using for
ages now to manage both my address book, and my list configuration.
I've just added save-hook functionality (with automatic recognition of
RFC822 resources) in response to your mail :-)

New features added:

save-hooks for nonlist mail:
-saved to a folder named by the nickname of the contact prefixed by his category
-and I'll add a "save_to_folder:" override on request
-not fooled by user+someresource@hisdomain

save-hooks for list mail:
-saved to a folder named ml_listnick
-uses the same "nick:" override that's used for the rest of my list config
-will have an additional "save_to_folder:" override if I implement it above
-recognizes anything to or CCed to the list (~C mutt pattern)
-isn't fooled just because the poster happens to be in your address book

I've tested both the nonlist and list functionality I've just added,
with the sole exception of the last feature, which relies on save-hooks
being evaluated in the order in which they occur (and on the inclusion
of aliasesrc before newlistsrc, which should already be the case for a
number of other reasons).

If you're curious about all the other functionality, you can peek at my
newlists file [1] and the newlistsrc file [2] autogenerated from it.
(Sadly, you can't peek at my aliases and aliasesrc files - blame the
SPAMmers and stalkers of the world.)

I've also got a WHY_USE file [3] with an outline of all the major features
provided by my setup (although my address book and list manager only
implement the relevant stuff - obviously, they don't implement the
PGP output tweaks, for instance) that stock Mutt provides no (easy)
way of duplicating. (There's a README that provides some info about
getting my entire config setup, if you want more than just the address
book and list management. If it's inadequate, I'll happily provide as
much support as you need.)

Uncle Cosmo, why do they call this a word processor?
It's simple, Skyler. You've seen what food processors do to food, right?
