NFS mailbox locking problems

Hi

I've just upgraded to Suse 8.2 and mutt-1.4.1 and I'm having problems
with the fcntl() locks on my nfs mailbox.

My spool dir is mounted as:

<blah>.<blah>.ic.ac.uk:/var/export/mail on /a/<blah>/var/export/mail
type nfs (rw,nosuid,intr,hard,rsize=8192,wsize=8192,addr=x.x.x.x)

my mbox is mounted over nfs as:

on /homes type nfs
(intr,rw,port=1023,timeo=8,retrans=110,indirect,map=amd.homes)

I get the following error and my mbox is not opened.

fcntl: No locks available (errno = 37)

I can however send and receive mail via pop.

I'm using the Suse 8.2 rpm: mutt-1.4i-229.i586.rpm

I did download the source and built it up, but had the same problems...
I'm hesitant to -disable-fcntl lock because the FAQ says this is now no
longer recommended.

Intriguingly I cannot find mutt_dotlock installed.

Can anyone help?

Cheers

Andy
