OK. Simple enough.

% could be. Well, my setup is pop3 -> fetchmail -> procmail -> spamassassin ->
% bogofilter -> mboxes. Read only via mutt. Any thoughts?

Does this affect a single mailbox, a certain known subset, a certain
unknown subset, or all mailboxes? And I think I understand you to say
that it is repeatable; is that correct?

Is the mailbox stored locally or on an NFS- (or other-) mounted partition?

What does ls report for the access (-u) and modification (-c) time of the
mailbox(es) both before and after midnight?
