This is what *I* see on Alexander's emails:

[-- PGP output follows (current time: Sat 16 Feb 2008 11:54:00 AM GMT) --]
gpg: Signature made Sat 16 Feb 2008 09:53:04 AM GMT using DSA key ID CC8710D0
gpg: Good signature from "Alexander Dahl <post@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>"
gpg: aka "Alexander Dahl <lespocky@xxxxxx>"
gpg: aka "Alexander Dahl <post@xxxxxxxxxxx>"
gpg: aka "Alexander Dahl <alex@xxxxxxxxxxxx>"
gpg: aka "Alexander Dahl
<alexander.dahl@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>"
gpg: WARNING: This key is not certified with a trusted signature!
gpg: There is no indication that the signature belongs to the owner.
Primary key fingerprint: 02C8 A590 7FE5 CA5F 3601 D1D5 8FBA 7744 CC87 10D0
[-- End of PGP output --]

and this is what I see on your emails:

[-- PGP output follows (current time: Sat 16 Feb 2008 11:55:03 AM GMT) --]
gpgkeys: key E42C99A8E9E8D38C not found on keyserver
gpg: Signature made Sat 16 Feb 2008 11:27:57 AM GMT using DSA key ID E9E8D38C
gpg: requesting key E9E8D38C from hkp server subkeys.pgp.net
gpg: no valid OpenPGP data found.
gpg: Can't check signature: public key not found
[-- End of PGP output --]

[-- The following data is signed --]

Note that I use hkp public key server. This is what I have in my
~/.gnupg/gpg.conf :

keyserver-options auto-key-retrieve
keyserver hkp://subkeys.pgp.net

Try those settings...

hth...
