I am using Mutt 1.4.2.1i (2004-02-12) installed from FreeBSD ports and I don't see any non-ascii characters (not replaced by a blank or anything, just missing) in subjects in the message index but when viewing a message all is well. I have set charset="iso-8859-1" in my muttrc Baldur
