Oliver, et al -- ...and then Oliver Fuchs said... % % Hi, Hi! % I am subscribed to this list and I am receiving it in digest-format. In % my.procmailrc I have this to split the digest-format: % % :0: % * ^Subject:.*mutt-users-digest % | formail +1 -ds >>mutt A good start. % % Looking at the mails shows me that only three headers are written in the % splitted mails: % % Date: Thu, 23 Oct 2003 15:51:56 -0400 % From: dd <dom_over@xxxxxxx> % Subject: How to not Yep. % % What is missing e.g. to make a list-reply is: % % From: owner-mutt-users-digest@xxxxxxxx (mutt-users-digest) % To: mutt-users-digest@xxxxxxxx % Subject: mutt-users-digest V1 #1631 Well, you can't really use that Subject: any more since you're looking at the individual message (or a likeness thereof). Similarly, the From: is that of the message, too, so all of this is good. You are right that lots of headers are missing, though. That's the cost of a digest. % % Why are the mails in the digest-format are cut-off or is there a way to add % the missing headers (only given at the beginning of the digest-foramt). That's the way a digest works; it does not try to send you an entire mbox in one shipping but instead just a summary of the traffic. I'm sure you could do some scripting to rebuild headers, but I personally would find it a lot easier to just have procmail properly sort the messages into the right folder in the first place. % % Thanx % % Oliver % -- % ... don't touch the bang bang fruit HTH & HAND :-D -- David T-G * There is too much animal courage in (play) davidtg@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx * society and not sufficient moral courage.
