Shall I go ahead and create a mutt gnats? 

Intial bug reports must be filed via the web interface or the gnats
client to avoid spam.  GNATS has its problem but it is matured enough
to be usable; I considered to switch to Roundup but there are other
problems with it and thus I stick to Gnats.

BTW, the Spam problem with debbugs was immense: At some days we
received several mails a second to nnn@xxxxxxxxxxxx and the spam
filtering ate up all resources.
