Headers are only allowed to be sent in US-ASCII, and the From header 
in Cristóbal's emails should, rather than be flat utf-8, be encoded 
like this: =?UTF-8?Q?Crist=C3=B3bal?.

Yup, it is a wrongly coded mail (it's breaking a MUST in RFC 2822).
