Re: Sending error update

Hi All

I'm still getting the error on the debian stable machine:

Error sending message, child exited 127 (Exec error.)

The error 127 means “command not found.” So what you need to do is run the command that mutt is running, and see what it complains about (the command mutt runs to send mail is displayed if you execute

   :set ?sendmail

within mutt. The default, unless you’ve changed it, is:

   /usr/sbin/sendmail -oem -oi

Do you have a /usr/sbin/sendmail? If not, then you’re missing a package to provide it. If you do, try using it, and see what happens. Somewhere along the line, you’re missing a binary.
