Mime-type voicemail .wav files ... hosed translation

My voip service provider has the option of emailing me my voicemail.

However, the messages I receive don't seem to be properly detected or
translated by my mailcap. The audio/wav for some reason appears inline
my message body with a weird boundary string:

You have 1 unreviewed message(s).

Under normal cicrcumstances of being sent an audio/wav, mutt will treat an unrecognized mime type attachment like this:

[-- Attachment #2: 1791569709-arrive.wav --]
[-- Type: audio/x-wav, Encoding: base64, Size: 48K --]

[-- audio/x-wav is unsupported (use 'v' to view this part) --]

Anyone have any idea what the weird boundry string is and why these voice mail .wav's are being treated differently?
adding a:

attachments +A audio/*

to my rc file doesn't seem to make a difference, the voice-message.wav is still processed inline.
