Why don't you just use Fastmail as your SMTP server? You can use
msmtp(1) from anywhere, as long as (a) the ISP that manages the
network you're on doesn't block all outgoing mail (ie
25, 26, 465, 587) and (b) you have msmtp configured right.

There was a thread on this very list five days ago detailing how to
send mail with msmtp to Fastmail. Most everything you need should be
in that thread -- write back to the list if you still have trouble.
