Mutt 1.4.1i on Solaris 9

As long as I don't think I've actually gotten this to post yet
I'll add another (probably important) detail.

The system I'm running mutt on is a nullclient. I'm expecting
mutt to hand the mail to sendmail, which should direct the message
to the smarthost "smtp.wadsworth.org", I am seeing the email being
directed to the old smart host which we are trying to decomission.
The old machine has the alias "mailhost" and name of csserv.wadsworth.org.

We have installed mutt 1.4.1i (2003-03-19) from the
Solaris freeware set, onto Solaris 9.

The email I create with mutt is being routed via my old mailhost
system rather than my new mailhost system, dispite the fact that
other MUAs are sending mail as expected, as determined by looking
at the mail headers when the messages are received.

My understanding is that mutt hands mail to the local system sendmail
and I believe I have sendmail configured correctly (seems to work in
all other cases).

Can someone help me to get mutt/sendmail working properly ?
I tried to run mutt under truss but don't see anything that
looks like a sendmail invokation, though I am far from an expert
with truss diags.

Is it possible mutt on solaris isn't calling sendmail but transmitting
the mail directly ? If so, how to I repoint it to the new mail host ?

                                                thank you,

                                                Brian
