This is not a problem from 'mutt' or 'mozilla'...
If anyone send you a text/html messages, all pathes
to the images need to be absolut with the Domainname...
Like:
<IMG SRC="http://pics.spamdomain.com/add/spamer.jpg">

'mutt' works fine from console and launching mozilla under X :-)
All HTML with pics is viewing well.
Can you send a sniplet from the HTML-Mail with one of the images ?
