mutt & OS X questions

Hi,

I am running mutt under OS X Panther, using fink.  I get the following
messages:

% mutt
cat: /etc/mailname: No such file or directory
sh: line 1: /bin/dnsdomainname: No such file or directory

1. Does this affect anything important?
2. How could I get rid of them (eg make an /etc/mailname file? what
   should I put in it? what about the other message?)
