Hmmm, - good question !!!
Furtunatly fot me but unfortunatly for you - I have now Windows anymore !!!

So I can not test it again, but I was accessing my maildir-folders 
via samba and it was working. Maybe you can not create files with 
semi-colon on Windows-Filesystems, but I think, your Maildir is on 
a Linux-Filesystem and if you use the nfs-server...
