Hmmm... weird, that's what I use.

Is your mutt compiled with debugging available? You could try running 
it with the '-d 4' flag, and then check ~/.muttdebug0 to see if you 
can find the COPY instruction. If you can, post that part of the file 
to the list, so we can take a look at it.
