You might want to rewrite your hook this way, so it doesn't push
anything:

    folder-hook . exec collapse-all

Actually, my muttrc has the following, although I am not entirely sure
anymore why I felt the need to erase the command line when entering
IMAP folders:

# collapse read threads when entering a folder
# (but blank the command line if I need to enter a username)
folder-hook !^imaps?://  exec collapse-all
folder-hook ^imaps?://   push ^a^k
----
