The above list is parsed from left to right, so utf-8 fits even
if a "cheaper" charset would do. Have a look at the charset
header of your messages, and I bet they're all in utf-8.
Default: "us-ascii:iso-8859-1:utf-8"
I have
set send_charset="us-ascii:iso-8859-1:iso-8859-15:windows-1252:utf-8"
