I see you've solved your problem, and this may be slightly OT, but
you mentioned you have a list of 16 mailboxes on one line in your
.muttrc. I use the following lines to make that easier:
mailboxes `echo /home/troy/Mail/*`
unmailboxes ~/Mail/red ~/Mail/black ~/Mail/logs
This way, if you add a mailbox for some reason it is automatically
added next time you start mutt or source muttrc.
