This differs from the last patch that it doesn't add the space when making up replies, i.e. it does it for display only. The original version I dropped the spaces from had this, too.

Eh? But I *like* it in replies.

Perhaps it only disable it in a reply if $text_flowed is set (in which case the editor is expected to handle it)?

Awww... Not that my editor *can't* handle it (because, of course, I've been abusing vim to force-fix people's replies for... wow, *years* now), but why disable it if $text_flowed is set? I *LIKE* space stuffing. I'd *love* it if mutt would turn replies to this:

    >> Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetuer adipiscing elit.
    >
    > Donec id justo molestie eros convallis sollicitudin.

    Nulla fringilla velit et metus.

Into this:

    >>> Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetuer adipiscing elit.
    >>
    >> Donec id justo molestie eros convallis sollicitudin.
    >
    > Nulla fringilla velit et metus.

Rather than this:

    >>>Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetuer adipiscing elit.
    >>
    >>Donec id justo molestie eros convallis sollicitudin.
    >
    >Nulla fringilla velit et metus.

Or worse yet, this:
> >> Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetuer adipiscing elit.
    > >
    > > Donec id justo molestie eros convallis sollicitudin.
    >
    > Nulla fringilla velit et metus.
