The BTS can post perfectly well to the mailing list - any correspondence sent to GNATS about a bug will be reflected back to the list. What isn't permitted - for good reason - is for unsubscribed people to post directly to mutt-dev. So if you want to talk about a bug, you either subscribe to the list, do it via GNATS, or get people to cc you in their replies. Same as the Linux kernel list. This seems perfectly reasonable to me. As an aside, "go and fix the software" isn't a particularly helpful comment... -- Paul
