What's changed since this thread? I'm not real sure, except for the
addition of server-side search.

I fully expect to be chastised and yelled at and flamed, and maybe even
ignored,

BUT, mutt is going nowhere. Still the best, but no plans to get any
better. No roadmap. No ideas. No leadership.
