Re: [ga] Re: [ga] LatinoamerICANN publica versión en españolde los Estatutos del ICANN

Sorry Don,

The answer to your important question and suggestion is no.
The ugly beast has raised his head again.  Oh no that ugly beast is not multilingualism or cultural diversity it is consensus.
What language you post in is an individual option.  What translations you provide, both in writing and in reading is your option. The real question is more who is your target audience. (perhaps many here would prefer that I post in Vietnamese with a bad font, so no one would have to read it)
I believe that we have reached a consensus within ICANN groups that it is up to the speaker to speak and the listener to hear.  If a friend wants to help that is great.
I enjoyed Jefsey's french, and Erickes latin derivitive. (although my spanish speaking trabajero comprende nada, because he is from a village near Chiapas and is illiterate, what are there only 250 dialects in Mexico alone - remember the Navajo code talkers)
Look up language in a good thorough dictionary - english alone has over 50 actual languages within it.
It is not multilingualism that will seperate us but rather a bad process and lack of leadership to deal with it.

I think it's time to move on.
