Cool, same here! I like being able to get access to all my email from 
virtually anywhere.

Not really. I mean, I suppose you could make a complex macro that did 
that all for you when you opened up your inbox, but that would be both 
hard to get right, and extremely complicated.

The best way to get mail automatically filed away as it comes in is to 
use a server-side filter, such as procmail, maildrop, SIEVE, or 
something similar. I use procmail (though it's probably the most 
problematic of the three options I listed there). Maildrop is very 
reliable, but has a kinda quirky filtering language (at least, for a 
guy who's used to procmail---YMMV). SIEVE is the most interesting, 
because it is designed to be configured from your mail client (e.g. 
there's a Thunderbird plugin for it). mutt has no support for SIEVE, 
but then that's no big surprise given mutt's design, which is more as 
a mail *viewer* than as a mail *manager*.
