Hi Eyolf,
I use ccal (another program similar to remind, but simpler than that)
and I have this macro for adding to ccal a mail message as todo:

macro index \ct "|ccal -m \n" "Add mail message as todo in ccal"

(The mail subject will appear as todo title.)
