The standard solution for this sort of thing that I've seen is to use 
macros, like so:

macro index,pager I "<change-folder>imap://myuname@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx<enter>"
macro index,pager P "<change-folder>pop://myuname@xxxxxxxxxxxxx<enter>"
