multi-hook send-hooks

Is it possible to read all the email addresses I want to hook
from a file or list rather than this awkard and difficult to
maintain notation:

send-hook "~C (dsdf@xxxxxxxxxx\\|another@xxxxxxxxx\\|...) set whatever

?
