The short answer is change-folder (bound to "c" by default).

I have a macro to make it go straight to the list of folders from the
index (this is sort of copied from Pine)

macro index , "<change-folder>?<tab>"

(and along with it)
bind browser , toggle-mailboxes

I find this very convenient.
