smart_wrap is set to "yes" by default.  smart_wrap helps when the
problem is Outlook users sending each paragraph as a single long
line.  It wasn't clear to me whether that was the problem you were
having, or whether the problem was uneven lines like this:

    Xxxx xxx xxx xx xxxxx xxx xxxx x
    xx x
    xx xxxx xx xx. Xxx xxx xxx xxxxxx
    xxxxx
    xxx xxxx x xxxx xx.

If the problem is uneven lines, then par may help, but I haven't
tried it myself.
