MIME Content-Type Question ...

Hi all,

I notice that when I send an msword .doc file as an attachment in
Mutt, Mutt sends the message as an 'application/octet-stream' MIME Content-Type
rather than an 'application/msword' MIME Content-Type. However, if I send an
msword .doc file as an attachment in Outlook, the correct MIME Content-Type
of 'application/msword' is used. 

Questions:      Can anyone tell me why the aforementioned is happening ?

                Do I have to teach Mutt how to send with the correct MIME
                Content-Type ?
