color and build questions with mutt-1.4.2.1

I have 2 questions. First of all I installed mutt-1.4.2.1 and instead of
the normal colors it has a black background and it highlights everything
in white. Is there a way to get it to use the default colors as it was
before?

Second, mutt-1.4.1 has the files mutton and mutt-slang, however I did not
get those files when I built mutt-1.4.2.1 with the following options, what
am I leaving out?
--prefix=/pkg/mutt-1.4.2.1 --with-ncurses=/usr/local
--with-slang=/usr/local
--with-sharedir=/pkg/mutt-1.4.2.1/libdata/mutt-1.4.2.1 --disable-fcntl
--enable-imap --with-docdir=/pkg/mutt-1.4.2.1/libdata/mutt-1.4.2.1
--with-domain=panix.com
--sysconfdir=/pkg/mutt-1.4.2.1/etc/conf/mutt/mutt-1.4.2.1
--enable-buffy-size --with-ssl=/usr/local

I am building it on NetBSD-1.5
