Well I've found the first problem with trying to use ssmtp. I had 'set sendmail=/proj/sbin/ssmtp' when it should have been 'set sendmail=/proj/chris/sbin/ssmtp'. Not surprosingly it didn't work very well, but couldn't mutt at least have produced an error if the sendmil you gave it didn't exist?
