xterm, mutt index, color brightblack black

Hello,

I don't know how to solve the following problem:

I'd like to appear deleted flagged messages in almost black on a black
background. So I've put the following line into .mutt/colors.default,
which I source in my .muttrc:

  color index brightblack black "~D"

Now, deleted flagged messages appear brightwhite on black.

Can anybody help me with this?
