Why can you not alias all the email addresses that you need?
To the best of my knowledge, there is no limit to the size of Mutt's
~/.mail_aliases (or equivalent) file, so why not go to the folder
of a recipient, highlight one message from that recipient, press "a"
and create an alias, which you then have available for use from that
point onwards?
On the next occasion that you need to send an email to that recipient,
simply press "m" to create a new message, then press "Tab" when the
"To:" prompt arrives, and there will be a list of your stored aliases
(including the new alias that you have just created) from which
to choose.
