One of our companies is working hard to provide even stronger security
for WiFi systems.
Well beyond WAP, they support the stronger WPA/802.1x standards. To
implement these, however, usually requires installation of a more
complex security infrastructure, RADIUS authentication server, etc.,
etc. The company offloads all of this complexity to an Internet-based
server, with user-friendly browser-based management tools.
Users download a small piece of client software, and pay only a small
monthly fee for the service. It works with many existing access
points, and the software will soon come bundled with some new Linksys
access points.
