problem with text/html when forwarding messages

Hello list,

I have searched the mutt manual and google for a solution to my problem with no 
success.

In a nutshell, when I forward a message with
a  text/html attachment, mutt gives me a blank 
forwarded body with the message:
No valid text mode browser found.

My .mailcap and .mime.types  files are correctly set up.
I can view text/html atachments with no problem when 
reading my mail
my   .mailcap entry is:

Text/html; lynx %s; nametemplate=%s.html


Any suggestions to fix this problem would be appreciated as it is 
driving me bonkers.
