editing raw message does not change message flag

While upgrading from 1.5.6 to 1.5.9, I discovered a little change in an
old behavior that I sometimes relied on. Previously in index mode, if I
hit 'e' to edit a raw message, modify it (header or body), then saved
the changes and quit the editor, Mutt 1.5.6 marks the newly modified
message with a new flag, regardless. In 1.5.9, if I do the same, Mutt
marks the newly modified message with the same flag as the old message.
If the old message is marked new, the new message is marked new. If the
old message is unmarked (aka "read"), the new message is unmarked too.
Is this correct behavior on Mutt's part?
