I'd rather mention the name of the chars in brackets, or just the name and
the char in brackets. Manual.txt should be us-ascii only as people
complained about all the fancy unicode characters comming from the DocBook
XSLT stylesheets.
Also, it seems to depend on what tool you use for dumping, lynx seems to
ignore LC_ALL=C...
