Comment:

 two reports from two different Debian users say that the combination of
 both patches does not fix the problem:

 Now it is even worse, mutt always report that my main mailbox has new
 mail:

 md@bongo:~$ stat -c "%X %Y %Z" ~/Mailbox

 md@bongo:~$ mutt
 La mailbox non è stata modificata.
