 I isolated the cause of this; it's revision 5052, "Add hook for proper
 IMAP unseen count in mailbox browser". If I update my working directory to
 revision 5051 and then build mutt from that, the unseen counts work as
 expected. But if I update to 5052 or later, the unseen counts all display
 as zero as detailed in the description for this issue.
