New description:

 Hi,

After sending an e-mail, after the ISP connection had dropped and the
modem was redialing, when I entered 'i' to return to the inded, the
following message (or something very similar) appeared: "closing POP
connection..." When that happened, mutt froze and the only thing that
I could do was enter a `^Z` to return to the shell and kill the mutt
 process.

 Regards,

 R. D. Davis

Comment (by brendan):

Can you reproduce this with 1.5.14 or later?
