It appears that mutt header caching, at least with imap, is broken in current cvs. Timing mutt-1.5.11 vs. mutt-cvs: $ time mutt-1.5.11-r1 -e 'exec quit' real 0m5.434s user 0m0.128s sys 0m0.036s $ time mutt -e 'exec quit' real 0m31.570s <<< clearly not taking advantage of cache user 0m0.256s sys 0m0.060s These are using separate cache directories, which contain the following: 1.4M .mutt/header_cache/9617a9ead398b456b4311e41bb77fc24 2.0M .mutt-cvs/header_cache/9617a9ead398b456b4311e41bb77fc24 I've testing using both gdbm and qdbm, it doesn't seem to make a difference. Is anybody else seeing this? Aron
