minor IMAP problems
Hi,
I'm using mutt-1.5.11 plus various patches. I know quite a bit has been
done in CVS, but I just checked with the CVS version, and I get the
same thing:
I'm talking to a Microsoft Exchange server (or some kind of related
infrastructure) via IMAP+SSL (imaps://), and with local sendmail
spools.
I'm inspecting a local mail mbox. I want to not bounce a certain email
to my Exchange account, but rather just move it there via IMAP. So I do
<copy-message> ('C') and enter the folder as
"imaps://DOM\userid@imapserver/" (without quotation marks) [*]
It starts off "Looking up imapserver", then shows me the certificate
in the "SSL Certificate check" window (instead of showing the index)
and prompts "(r)eject, accept (o)nce, (a)ccept always". That's fine. I
accept (o)nce or (a)lways.
Two annoyances:
1) Then I get prompted for the IMAP server's password "Password for
DOM\userid@imapserver:". Problem: This prompt has no cursor. This may
be intended, but it's annoying, because you don't know whether you're
doing something down there or not...
2) When I (otherwise) log in to inspect the mailbox this way,
everything's fine. But here, when copying an email, the status line
shows the copying process and goes away once successfully finished.
Problem: The "SSL Certificate check" window is not cleared, though mutt
goes back to saying that it's displaying my mbox. I need to press
control-L. Perhaps mutt's code should refresh the display after
finishing the SSL auth.
That's all. ;-) I have some more questions regarding IMAP, but I'll
come back once I see how mutt-CVS copes. I know there's been a lot of
changes (many thanks!), including one annoyance I had regarding IMAP
folder update (i.e. there was no such thing ;->). I'll be back.
Thanks,
Moritz
[*] Brendan, you can figure out which server and login that is...
