    Very interesting! But:

 · Output for unlists and unsubscribe is garbage (^Pü^W^HØ\235^N^H).

 · No realtime update when user <enter-command> and changes something.

 · Layout is long, and a little confuse. I will not shout "*Colors!*".

 · Calling <help> shouts "Status of commands is being shown.".

    That makes perfect sense. You're in index, call index's help, read
index's help in the _pager_. You then may want to call pager's help.
Feature. The bug is the misleading comment in code.
