Up to 1.5.6 (I skipped 1.5.7), manual.txt was distributed with nroff-type sequences for bold or reverse effects when viewing the file in 'less'. In 1.5.8, manual.txt is instead distributed with ansi-escape sequences. Using less with the -R flag almost works; I had to change [22m to [0m. I didn't have sgml2txt on my system, so I went looking for it -- but sgmltools.org seems to have disappeared. So could we go back to distributing the file with nroff sequences? -- JP
